Lal Bahadur Shastri's grandson on AAP ticket

Aam Aadmi Party has decided to field freedom fighter and former Indian prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri's grandson Adarsh Shastri from Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh. Adarsh has joined AAP in November 2013 after quitting a lucrative job in the tech giant company Apple.

Adarsh speaking on it for the first said, “this the country's second freedom fight for the corruption free one and AAP has the credibility to achieve it. I'm confident that the people of Allahabad will vote for me.”

Allahabad Lok Sabha constituency has elected three former Prime Ministers of India, including Adarsh's grandfather Lal Bahadur Shastri, Jawaharlal Nehru and VP Singh.
