The Mumbai court on Monday directed Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Manish Tiwari to pay Rupees 10,000 to Bharatiya Janata Party [BJP] former president Nitin Gadkari in the defamation case.
In the year 2010, Manish accused Gadkari of holding a 'benami' flat in the scam tainted Adarsh Society however the BJP leader had denied the allegations and said that they were false and defamatory. So Mr. Gadkari approached the Court for false allegations and after four years, the decision was arrived.
Though Court gave Manish a non-bailable warrant, his request for absence was considered and also gave him bail in this case.
