Responding two days after Varun Gandhi's comments on Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, mother Maneka Gandhi has advised Varun to go through the facts and react.
“I told Varun not to comment on anything which you have not seen yourself. What he said is not right. I have been to Amethi. He should not speak before verifying the facts,” added Maneka.
The 34 year old BJP candidate from Sultanpur, Varun praised his cousin Rahul at a political rally on Tuesday saying he admired the work he had done in Amethi constituency. These statements did upset the BJP and so Varun retracted them in his micro blogging site saying, his comments do not endorse any political party or candidate.
While Rahul was quick to respond on Varun's statements and expressed his pleasure for recognizing his work.
