RJD keen on alliance with Congress

Lalu Prasad Yadav's Rashtriya Janata Dal [RJD] is keen on making alliance with the Congress party for the upcoming general elections. Lalu has offered 11 Lok Sabha seats to the Congress party out of 40 and Congress is still undecided over this matter.

Meanwhile Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is looking for alliance with Janata Dal [United] but as JD [U] joined the Third Front, Sonia Gandhi seems to be against the decision. However, the Congress party has opened the mouth about alliance with RJD.

Lalu said he is still open for talks and can approach him over the phone. Lalu will begin the election campaign today and he would address 12 rallies between March 5 and 8 in different places.

Wonder why Lalu is so desperate for alliance with Congress when there is no scope for it.
