Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal apologized to the people of Delhi as the inaugural 'Janta Darbar' got cancelled indefinitely. The Delhi Police called off the meeting which was slated outside the Delhi's state secretariat citing security issues of the Delhi CM. However, the cabinet members of the government collected application letters addressed to the AAP government.
Later Kejriwal said, “as the people have turned up for the event in huge numbers, the arrangements made were not sufficient. I apologize to the people and sooner we will organize a better janta darbar.”
Meanwhile Arvind Kejriwal met Lok Satta Party Andhra Pradesh president Jayaprakash Narayan at 2:30 PM at his camp office. Rumors are floating that JP wants to merge his party with AAP and likely to contest with AAP flag in 2014 elections.
