Mizoram Chief Minister Laltanhawla also is contesting from two constituencies- serchhip and Hrangturzo. For the first time Election Commission has introduced a feature in the AVMs in Mizoram to verify whether their voting was rightly registered or not. The feature was previously tested in Nagaland elections and is implemented for the first time in the country now.  It is called Voter Verifiable Printer Audit Trail (VVPAT).
