Broom's the way for Aam Aadmi Party

Precisely after a year of its induction, the Aam Aadmi Party formally lofted its election symbol, the "broom".

The "broom" is very much in sync with the ideologies of the party that plans to wipe out dirty politics and tainted politicians of the country.

The symbol was launched at an event held in Valmiki colony at MandirMarg, New Delhi.  Arvind Kejriwal, party chief has announced that he would be contest elections against Sheila Dikshit from this constituency.

While launching the symbol Arvind Kejriwal said, "There are 162 tainted politicians in the parliament and 25 MLAs in the Delhi Assembly who have serious charges against them. The 'Broom' symbolises that the time has come to clean the politics of the country."

Aam Aadmi Party will not give ticket to any tainted candidate.

“The symbol was launched at a Valmiki Colony because more than 90% of Delhi's safai karamcharis come from this community,” reveals sources.
