Balaji Telefilms didn't disclose Rs. 30 cr income

The Income Tax department, which ordered its sleuths to conduct raids on noted television producer Ekta Kapoor's office, has today ascertained that Balaji Telefilms (run by Ekta Kapoor) didn't disclose Rs. 30 crore income and evaded the income tax on the said amount.

Just two days ago, at least 100 income tax officials, have raided on the residences and offices of Ekta Kapoor. It was then reported that IT sleuths questioned Ekta over the same and apparently Ekta Kapoor said she was not looking into the businesses these days.

The officials have said that Balaji Telefilms agreed to pay off the entire income tax along with the penalty. It has to be mentioned here that Balaji Telefims is a big name in Indian television industry. It has even produced critically acclaimed Dirty Picture.
