Are you lucky enough to win the H-1B visa lottery?

85,000 High Skilled workers been awarded their H-1B visas based on how lucky they were after a lottery was held by the US Citizenship and Immigration service only in a week after the applications were accepted. This clearly is an intent of the nation and the companies confidence of their economy while they hired workers from foreign nations.

USCIS received over 1,24,000 visas in just a week after they opened the bookings for the visas which included students who finished their advanced degrees from universities. After an extremely high demand, the applications were temporarily closed.

H-1B visas earlier were given away by this lottery method five years ago, when the economic crisis first started. The unemployment rates have gone up considerably with the figures just barely stooping below 7.6%.

However, this is only a petition to go to the final process of a H -1B visa allocation. The State Department will finally confirm the H-1B visa. The winners of the petitions are being sent mails if they managed to secure a slot. If they haven't won a slot, the petitions will be sent back along with the filing fees.

Last year, Indians received the maximum number of H 1B visas than any other nation.
