North east leader P A Sangma, who came out of NCP last year, in order to contest the Presidential elections has finally launched his own political party, National People's Party (NPP). The symbol of his party being a book. Sangma who received support from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) when he was the presidential candidate has supported the same NDA led by BJP. So, NDA is getting one more support.

It may be noted that Sangma has good support in the entire north east region. Even is daughter Agatha Sangma is a popular personality in north east. And it's evident that Agatha Sangma is also going to join NPP and contest from the same party. The observers have said that chances of NPP coming out with flying colours in 2014 are very bright. Anyway, lets keep our fingers crossed for another year to know the result.
