Biting cold in Delhi claims another 22 lives

Biting cold is throwing life out of gear in the national capital region. At least 22 persons were killed in the last 24 hours due to the severe climate that took the over all decease count to 129.  The minimum temperature is, however, back to four degree Celsius from the previous two degrees. But then the situation last night was said to be very tough. The experts have said that mostly people who can't get sufficient blankets to wrap them up and aged persons fall prey to the biting cold in Delhi year and this year too the same has taken place.

Delhi apart, Srinagar is also hitting headlines for the extreme climatic conditions. The temperature in Delhi yesterday was recorded at 4.3 degree Celsius. The place that recorded the lowest minimum temperature was Churu of Rajasthan wherein the temperature dropped to 1.6 degree Celsius.  The thick fog in Delhi and other parts of north India is not only claiming lives of people but even disrupting the traffic. In fact, over a dozen trains were cancelled from yesterday over the same. Lets hope that the situation in Delhi limps back to normalcy.
