Thief pays back money after 30 years

How rare is it that you see a thief, who stole for his needs, returns you the goods or the value of the goods once he is in a position to do so? Considering the very few occasions, this incident in Ohio's Kmart is hence worth a mention.

One man who stole from a Kmart in Ohio has promptly sent $1000 dollars to the store after thirty years  as a way to ask for forgiveness and his idea of repentance for his mistake that was fueled by need.

A handwritten letter was sent to the president of the store, that he had stolen merchandise worth $140 to $270 long ago in a Cincinnati Kmart. Apart from tendering an apology in the note, he also pinned a $1000 money order.

T reports. Along with his apology note, the penitent included a $1,000 money order.

"Please accept this money order in repayment," the man wrote. "Your acceptance would be most appreciated. I am now God's child."

The money was accepted, the thief forgiven and the money was used for families who were struggling to pay their bills. Faith in humanity has been restored.
