Aakash 2 launched at UN

Aakash 2 tablet, which has recently hit headlines across India, after President Pranab Mukerjee launched it in country,  now entered international newspapers as United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon launched it in the United Nations. Indian ambassador Hardeep Puri had all praises for this low cost tablet. He said Aakash 2 can bring in world class teaching facilities on to the screen and therefore would benefit the school children especially in the remote areas.

While it was given to the university students at a subsidized price in the country by our government, the United Nations said it was looking forward to handing the tablets to over 200 million students for free. But will the students take proper use of these tablets, is one big question. There are also other questions regarding internet connectivity. If internet connectivity is not provided for free then the tablet will be more beneficial, said observers.
