Or astonishing may be..but this is a fact.In a Muslim cleric style "Fatawa" ( Mean no offense to anybody) a local religious leader of Jabalpur,  Mahamandleshwar Swami Shyamdas Maharaj made this offer in a well attended prayer meeting at Jabalpur's Geetadham Ashram on Sunday.

He made this offer for Ram Jethmalani's comment on Lord Ram where he described one of the most holiest figure in Hinduism as a "bad husband". Clarifying his stand the religious leader said  "A threat presupposes violence and spitting is a harmless non-violent act. This, at best, could be described as an expression of anguish by a devout...Jethmalani is a lucky man that he could get away with such a lenient punishment for such an unpardonable act."

The "Lord Ram controversy" got further intensified when Congess general secretary Digvijay Singh dragged BJP leader Narendra Mody's name into it. He asked for Gujrat stongman stand regarding the whole issue. "He (Jethmalani) is now special to Narendra Modi but Modi should come to the fore and tell whether he is in tune with his (Jethmalani's) statement or not," said Digvijay Singh.
