Russian vessel with 700 tons of gold ore missing

Stormy weather in the Pacific coast of Russia has become the reason for a ship with a crew of nine members and 700 tons of gold-ore to go missing.

A distress signal was sent on Sunday by the ship and the then coordinates were found to be near Neran as it started off to Feklistov Island in Sea of Okhotsk.

The vessel belong to Polymetal and it was transporting the gold ore to another deposit where it would be processed.  Polymetal's spokesman refused to comment on the total value of the cargo.

The 700 tons of Gold ore have a very small percentage of gold that can be extracted from it.

The company mentioned that this was not an unusual route of shipping the ore as it has done so earlier too.
