BSP demands Modi's resingnation

Bahujan samaj Party, BSP, on Friday talking to the media said that there was no coalition of any kind for the next Gujarat Assembly elections. BSP who has finalized a list of 50 members announced that they would contest for all the 182 seats in the assembly.

"Our leader Mayawati has decided that the party will contest all seats in Gujarat on its own and will not have any seat-sharing arrangement with other political parties," BJP's Gujarat Incharge Dharmaprakash Bharatiya said.

Bharatiya while announcing the names of the 50 members in the list recalled the stats from 2007. Five years ago they had 166 candidates but they could secure only 2.62% of the votes. "We might not form a government but will definitely be the kingmaker in the state," he added.

He later clarified that they had a clear strategy in the mind. As BSP had no internal fights or differences in opinions, they had released the list earlier than all other parties.

Lashing out at Narendra Modi, they accused him of posing double standards in the issue of corruption. He added that Modi whilst attacking the UPA government on corruption he is supporting corruption within his party and hence should resign. "Modi is attacking the UPA government on the corruption issue but here one of his ministers has been involved in a multi-crore scam. The CM should resign on moral grounds as he is also involved in the scam."
