Khurshid stoops low with "bloody" threat

The activist-turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal had alleged that Salman Khushid was involved in swindling funds meant for the NGO headed by himself and his wife. This however was not taken in the right spirits by the Union law minister who was in London at the time of the allegations.

Kejriwal also demanded a resignation from the minister and protested in Delhi for four days and temporarily suspended to continue it in Farrukhabad, Khurshid's own constituency. Soon after his return to the nation, Salman Khurshid had revoked all allegations whilst producing documents that said otherwise. Kejriwal lashed at him again calling them fake documents.

Abashed by the accusation, Salman Khurshir lost his cool after Kejriwal decided to slander his image in his own constituency. He used language that was very “unbecoming” of a Law Minister. "I don't give a visa to go there but it's a long road to Farrukhabad. It is 300 kilometres away (from Delhi). He can get there...but how will he return?” he asked. "I am trained as a lawyer...to work with ink and pens...but it is time to replace ink with blood," the minister said disgracing his position in the government. This could also bring him under the wrath of the PM and president who can oust him from his position.

Kejriwal tweeted that "Mr Salman Khurshid has threatened me in language that is unbecoming of the Law Minister's post," he tweeted this afternoon. "Rather than threatening like this, it wud be better that Congress sensed the anger of people and took some concrete steps against corruption," he said on Twitter.

He added that such talk should be condemned by the PM and the President who should call for the “exigent removal”.

Another activist, and a front-liner of the anti-graft movement said that they would remain undeterred on their decision to go to Farrukhabad.  "They can threaten us all they want...but we will not be deterred from going to Farukkhabad," Kumar Vishwas said.
