The 10th Annual Bollywood festival was more fruitful than ever for the Bollywood's stalwart actress, Hema Malini who couldn't keep the smiles off her face after she had come back from Norway. The Norwegian Government has surprised Hema after they had released a stamp to honor her.

Hema Malini had been to Oslo, Norway for the Bollywood Festival with no idea of the surprise they had in mind. She was extremely elated after she had heard of their surprise. Esha and Ahana were also at the celebration and participated along with her mother in the event that marked 100 years of Indian Cinema.

"We reached Oslo in the first week of September. The Bollywood Festival began from September 7 and we performed on September 9," quipped Hema. She also represented India at the inaugural function.

A show of bharatanatyam and odissi were performed by the trio along with 15 other troupe members. After the performance the Norway Minister of Foreign Affairs himself felicitated her with the stamp.

She said that she was proud to be an Indian while adding that this recognition only meant that India was basking in the luxury of culture and arts. She also spoke for her daughters mentioning that they were extremely elated for her one of a kind award. “We did not know anything about the stamp. After our performance, the announcement came as a pleasant surprise for the three of us. They are a great source of strength and support and I feel lucky," she said.

Hema mentioned that she would have jumped and screamed if she were of the right age; insinuating the levels of excitement she felt. “But I am simply happy to be one of the Indians who have been bestowed with such an honour in a foreign country” a humble Hema replied when asked about her feelings after receiving such an honor.
