In a flagitious crime, a ruthless father had killed his wife and his own son in Patna, the police reported. The daughter who had been to school fortunately had been saved from the incident. The incident took place on Thursday at the Jakanpur Railway Colony in the afternoon.

The double murder was committed by a Railway TTE, Manoj Kumar Verma in which he killed Ruby Verma his 40 year old wife and his son who was 12 years old, Harsh. Ruhi his daughter had been at school at the time of murder.

After she returned from school she saw her father lying  on the couch unconscious while her brother and mother were dead in the bed room.

After the police and the neighbors took him to the hospital, he alleged that the robbers had killed his wife and son while he was injured. After prolonged questioning from the police the father cracked up and revealed that he had killed them both and consumed sleeping pills while laying on the sofa to make it look like a robbery.

Ruby's relatives had alleged that Manoj had an illicit relationship earlier and that his family too had tried to kill Ruby earlier torturing her often.
