Prasad Bagadia was pursuing his XII class at the N M College but his life had come to an abrupt end after he reportedly fell down from the third floor of the college building, which is located in Vile Parle (W) on the afternoon of Tuesday.
For the sake of initial investigations the case has been registered as a accidental death but the police are keen to ascertain if there could be an intent of suicide or if someone could have pushed him to "look into all possible angles", an official from the Juhu Police station said.
The clear cut case of the incident has not been obtained as all the students on the third floor had already left the college by then as the classes were finished. The friends of the teen and other classmates would be investigated on Wednesday to find more leads into the cause of the death.
The incident was reported by a student as he heard a loud thud and later alerted the security guards who had found him lying in a pool of blood after falling over a parked vehicle underneath.
The family and the college management were notified immediately and he was rushed to the hospital. Doctors said that his condition was serious and that the following few days would be crucial for him. However, Prasad had succumbed to the injuries late in the evening.
