MDLR office raided, Kanda denies involvement

After three days of interrogation following his surrender to the police at the Ashok Vihar Police station, Gopal Goyal Kanda still remains firm on his statements that he has not been involved in the suicide case of Geetika Sharma, a former employee at several of Kanda's offices. He was arrested in the suicide case of Geetika Sharma along with a top executive at his office, Aruna Chaddha.

Kanda would be taken to several locations in Gurgaon and Delhi to learn his hideout in the 11 days of his absconding. They also speculate that he could have wiped off crucial evidence to avoid arrest during the days of his absconding.

Since his arrest he had been questioned several times by the top police officials but the former minister of Haryana had not opened up.

Charges of abetment to suicide, criminal intimidation, criminal conspiracy and destruction of evidence were alleged against Kanda. Police plan to seek the custody of Aruna Chaddha, co accused in abetting the suicide of the 23 year old, today after her judicial custody ends. Delhi Police opine that confronting Kanda and Chaddha would reveal several interesting facts.

Interrogations on Kanda had continued till 10:30 pm while his lawyers were present by his side and the minister couldn't sleep till 5 am in the morning. During the day, the police had raided MDLR office and confiscated several documents, hard disks and servers but three important hard disks were missing which belonged to Kanda, Chaddha and another mystery associate.

After police have recovered several papers with the name of the deceased Sharma, the police have asked Kanda if he was trying to harass the family to sign papers.
