UPA has been accused in quite a few scandals recently but that has not deterred them from making nonsensical and controversial statements.
The Union Minister drew criticism from opposition after he mentioned that their party has been supporting high prices in the market.

Beni Prasad Verma the Union Minister said "We are happy with the inflation, it will help farmers... Dal, grain and vegetables are more expensive. The rising prices is a benefit. We are happy."  The team has extremely less time to work on the controversies they are involved in earlier and with they they dont even have the breather now.
His remark had only been a justification of their inept government after he said that inflation was doing good to the farmers and that indirectly point out at the inefficiency of the government to lower the sky-rocketing prices. Also, it could mean that they would not take up any amends that would help lower the inflation which is slowly eating down the common man.

Leader of the UPA, Sonia Gandhi is yet to make a statement on the same but the opposition had only one thing in their minds; Carpe Diem.
BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain opined that there could not be any statement that would be worse that this. He also said that it was foolish to think it would help the farmers and moreover, congress has now been wiped off the minds of common man.

Sudhindra Bhadoria, BSP leader, said that the statement was completely unacceptable and that it was not wise of the minister to make such comments. He also said that the whole country would take the statement negatively as the poor were greatly affected by inflation.
