On  Thursday, The Time Magazine and CNN had announced that Fareed Zakaria who was earlier suspended for plagiarism had been reinstated.

Time talking on the issue said the the mistake was unintentional and it was a once time “ isolated mistake” talking about the article on gun control in times which was the original work of another writer.

"We look forward to having Fareed's thoughtful and important voice back in the magazine with his next column in the issue that comes out on September 7," Time said. CNN had verified his earlier work, TV shows, blogs and other documentaries and confirmed that there was nothing that necessitated his suspension.

It added that Zakaria had publicly apologized for a journalistic lapse and that he would not let such things repeat in the future. Zakaria is to resume his program relating to public affairs, GPS, again on 26th August.

In Times statement regarding the article that was stolen from another writer on Gun Control, it said that Zakaria would be suspended for a period of one month and later the renowned journalist had apologized for his unoriginal work which he took from New Yorker, April edition.
