In a move to intensify the energetic protests that were on in full swing, he had started marching with the protestors towards the Parliament but was stopped in his blocks as the Delhi police had arrested him. He had launched his protest primarily with the goal of retrieving the black money that was hidden in the banks overseas.
The police had arrested Ramdev at the Ranjit Singh flyover which was just outside the Ramlila Maidan in central Delhi where he had started his protests on Thursday. He had emphasized that disrupting peace was not his idea of protest and he had also asked the protestors to take the agitation in a non-violent way. “We wanted to march towards Parliament in a peaceful manner to make our voices heard," he said reminding his supporters before they began the march. He also told his supporters that they are not going to surround the parliament but only stage an agitation that would grab the attention of the government.
In less than 10 minutes after they started the march the Delhi Police took control near the fly over and stopped them as they had no permission for the march to Parliament.
