Four days after a cop was reported to be missing, his body was found mutilated in Sagar and was recovered from a reservoir 40 km from the distrct headquarters between Ghoograkhurd and Banda on Thursday.

The family sub-inspector, who was mutilated and murdered, have expressed their suspicion on the mining mafia who operate near the stone quarries in the district. The police however had denied of such possibility as they are not the prima facie mafia related to them.

Ghoogra didn't go to the substation in the district on the next day. It was then that a complaint was filed with the police expressing suspicion on the mining mafia.

His son traveled from Panna to Sagar to speak to the superiors after his dad's bike was found on Tuesday at a spot near Sona Nala. He couldn't reach them as the Inspector General Pankaj Shrivastava was on Tour and the DIG post was vacant. The District Superintendent position was transferred but the position was not filled. Ajay woed to the police that his complaints and inquiries were all neglected by the police.

Yadav was found tied to a wooden ladder in the reservoir, and there were injury marks covering his body.
