2 youngsters hailing from Uttar Pradesh had been spotted in Mumbai with 16 sophisticated weapons  and were arrested by the city police on Friday morning. They were identified as Abhay Kumar Dubey, 21, an Abdul Shaikh, 20, hailing from Siwan in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.

Five 7.65 mm Pistols, 4 .32 bore revolvers and 7 Kattas, country made guns, were recovered from their possession.

Raghunath Dalvi, the crime branch senior inspector, said that the police were trying to trace their clients who were to purchase the weapons and also where they got the weapons from.

The police are speculating that they were being sold to footsoilders of any gang or robber gangs but were yet to find out.
