The heavy downpour of Monday continued to thrash Mumbai as it showed no signs of stopping on Tuesday too. Worli experienced the heaviest rainfall in Mumabi which was recorded at 61 mm. The South West Monsoon winds have already swept a major part of the state, and the wather department has forecasted that there would be rainstorms and thundershowers for the next two days. It also warned the residents of the city to be prepared before going out.

Moderate levels of rain was seen in Colaba, Santa Cruz, Andheri, Hiranandini in Powai, and Bandra between 8:30am and 5:30 pm. The downpour reached 38mm in Dadar, 28mm in Gowalia Tank, 22mm in BKC, 23mm in Bandra and 17mm in Kurla by 10pm. Weather officials said that a upper air cyclonic circulation off the coasts of Maharastra and Gujrat at heights of 3.1km and 5.8km over the mean sea level.

The city has experienced cooler climates, thanks to the monsoon rains. Colaba and Santa Cruz recorded temperatures of 31.6 and 30.5 degrees Celsius but the humidity levels were high recording at 93% and 85% respectively.
