Veteran politician Pranab Mukherjee is all set to file his nomination for presidential election on Thursday. As a mark of strenghth, all UPA allies will be present while Pranab files nomination for the post. It is known that Pranab Mukherjee is backed by some UPA allies. Similarly, the candidate, who's been backed by some of NDA's allies, Sangma is also going to file his nomination for presidential candidate.

Both NDA and UPA are divided on presidential candidates. While some allies in NDA are against Sangma, main ally of UPA, Trinamool Congress is against the decision of UPA to support Pranab Mukherjee. Notably, both the leaders are confident that they would adorn the seat of president. However, one has to wait and watch for another couple of days to know who would become Pratibha Patil's successor.
