5 monuments from Rajasthan to get world heritage status?

The Rajasthan government has recommended five heritage sites in the state for UNESCO's  world heritage status. The five historical sites include Amber Fort, Gagrone Fort Jhalawar Fort, Ranthambore Fort. The news was confirmed by Rajasthan tourism minister Bina Kak. He has said that they (tourism ministry) forwarded the names of five monuments to the world heritage committee.

The decision on whether or not to declare the five monuments the world heritage status would be decided at world heritage session that is scheduled to take place from July 24 to July 27 at Saint Petersburg. The minister has also said that forts such as Jaisalmer Fort would be forwarded for evaluation of world heritage status at a later stage.
