Military satellite to be launched soon

The armed forces are going to get an exclusive military satellite. It will be helpful to the armed forces in naval surveillance. The sources said that the satellite has already been shipped and it would take a couple of weeks for the launch.

This satellite will cover 1000 nautical mile foot print  over the Indian Ocean Region (IOR), which stretches from Africa’s east coast right till Malacca Strait. This would enable the navy to establish a network between all its war ships and submarines.  So far, armed forces were dependent on other satellites for crucial information. With this exclusive military satellite, there would be no need to seek the help of dual-use satellites.

It may be noted that are around 300 dual-use military satellites that orbit around the earth as of now. While more than half of them are owned by the United States, remaining ones are owned by Russia and China.
