In an exclusive interview to CNN-IBN, West Bengal chief minister and Trinamul Congress chief Mamata Banerjee has said that Trinamul Congress will not support Pranab Mukherjee as the President of India. She said Abdul Kalam, West Bengal Governor Gopal Gandhi and Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar were okay to her. Mamata has said that Pranab may be son of the world but she will not endorse him as the presidential candidate.

It is known that there have been speculations on the presidential candidate. While some predicted that Pranab Mukherjee and Hameed Ansari are in the presidential race, BJP ruled out support to both of them.

Mamata Banerjee who earlier walked out of an interactive session from IBN studio said she was a transparent person. Further, Mamata Banerjee said the news that there were differences between Mamata Banerjee and UPA Government were baseless. She stressed that she wanted the UPA Government to complete its term.

Now that Mamata Banerjee has also made it clear that she won’t endorse Pranab as presidential candidates, who will come into the picture has become a million dollar question!
