Will Sidhartha Mallya tender apology?

The director of Royal Challengers Bangalore and son of liquor baron Vijay Mallya, Sidhartha Mallya has got a legal notice for allegedly making derogatory statements on a US national on his twitter account on Friday. The person who served the notice is the complainant in the molestation case of Royal Challengers Bangalore player Luke Pomersbach.

It may be recalled that Sidhartha Mallya tweeted questioning the character of the woman that stirred up a new controversy.  The victim, who send a legal notice to Sidhartha Mallya, has demanded him to tender unconditional apology to her for making such statements on social networking site Twitter.

Meanwhile, the father of Sidhartha Mallya, Vijay Mallya has said that his son was not a kid and he could defend himself. He has also said that Luke Pomersbach would not take part in the IPL championship until his innocence is proved.

While even IPL didn’t support Luke’s alleged activities and stated that it was his personal and IPL has no responsibility since it doesn’t host any party (in which the player allegedly molested the woman), what made Sidhartha Mallya support the player besides making remarks on the complainant (while the matter is in the court) is a million dollar question.

One has to, however, wait and watch to know whether Sidhartha Mallya would tender apologies to the victim or moves court.   (Phani)
