Air India pilots strike enters 4th day

The Air India pilots strike has entered its fourth day today. As many as 12 international flights have been cancelled due to the ongoing strike of pilots.  Also, a Chennai-Hyderabad flight was also cancelled.

Notably, even after Delhi High Court terming that the pilot stike was illegal and directed all agitating pilots to report back to their duties, as many as 305 pilots didn’t turn up. Meanwhile, keeping in view the ongoing strike, the sale of tickets to several destinations by this government run carrier has been stopped till May 15.

Earlier, the pilots said that they would continue to strike till Sunday. Also, the government called the pilots for talks and said it would not tolerate if pilots resort to strike yet another time after holding talks.

It may be mentioned here that the pilots have been boycotting duties demanding the release of their pending salaries.
We have to wait and see as to when the pilots are going to put an end to their strike and report back to their duties.
