An earthquake of a 5.6 magnitude hit the Kashmir valley this morning and there are no immediate reports of loss of life or property.
An official of the disaster management department said the quake shook the Northwest Kashmir exactly at 11.36 am IST.
Officials traced the epicenter of the quake to Gilgit occupied by Pakistan. (J)
