A 5-storied residential building collapsed in Surat city of Gujarat today and there are no reports of loss of life.
Reports said that the heavy structure developed dangerous cracks after construction began in an adjacent piece of land.
Immediately officials asked the residents to vacate the premises. The heavy structure came down after all the residents of the complex vacated it.
The building tilted gradually to one side and collapsed like a pack of cards as the local people and civic officials witnessed the collapse. More details are yet to come on this incident. (JUBS)
