Woman commits suicide in support of Anna

Woman commits suicide in support of AnnaA 33-year old married woman committed suicide in Miraj village of Sangli district in Maharashtra in support of the anti-corruption agitation launched by the Gandhian Anna Hazare.

Shubhangi Karande was found hanging with a sari to the ceiling fan in her house Friday evening. She asked the Government in a suicide note to respond to Hazare’s demands in the interest and welfare of the poor in the country.When her 13-year-old daughter Monika and 10-year-old son Ganesh complained that their mother was not opening the door, neighbors broke it open and found her hanging. She also left a suicide note.

She said in the note that she was committing suicide in support of the cause taken up by Anna Hazare and Government must respond to him. She also said that the poor people of the country are suffering heavily because of corruption and no one is taking care of their welfare.

She asked her husband Vinayak Karande to marry again and look after the children with love and care. Mr Karande is working as a fabricator in an industrial unit.
