Anna continues fast at Ramlila grounds

AnnaGandhian and anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare today came out of the Tihar jail amid a thunderous applause of his supporters and then continued his fast at the Ramlila grounds demanding a stronger Lok Pal Bill.

Earlier, addressing thousands of his supporters who gathered outside the Tihar Jail, the veteran social activist described his fight against corruption as the second freedom struggle. “My supporters are my strength,” he told them.

Responding emotionally to the ‘Jai Mata Ki’ slogans from his supporters, Hazare asserted that the crusade against corruption would continue till his last breath and afterwards also. “The fight will go on till country is freed from the tentacles of corruption,” he said.

Later, Hazare was taken in an open top vehicle to the Ramlila grounds and on the way, Hazare and his supporters visited the Rajghat and paid floral tributes to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi.

He was on fast in the Tihar Jail for the last three days and will continue it at the Ramlila. “I am fine and will fast for 15 days and further,” he said.
