Superstar Rajanikanth, who was discharged from the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore on Wednesday, called the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha in the evening over phone and greeter her for her electoral victory and assuming leadership of the state.Rajanikanth told her that the state was saved following the victory of her party in the April 13 elections, a government press release said in Chennai, adding he told Jaya that he wanted to speak to her first after being discharged from the hospital.
“The chief minister inquired about his health and expressed happiness over his recovery. She wanted him to come back to Chennai at the earliest,” said the statement. The superstar’s wife Latha also spoke to the chief minister and greeted her.
After being discharged, Rajanikanth is taking rest at an undisclosed location in Singapore along with family members.
