The health condition of yoga guru Baba Ram Dev has started deteriorating as he entered the fifth day of his fasting today demanding immediate steps for ending corruption and bringing back black money into the country. Doctors who examined him requested him to take liquid food and end his fast soon. “He lost weight and is weak because of dehydration. His condition is deteriorating rapidly,” Chief Medical Officer, Haridwar Dr Yogesh Sharma told media persons at the fasting camp.
Baba Ram Dev was on an indefinite fast from June 4 demanding tougher measures to end corruption at all levels in the country and take steps to bring the black money stashed away in foreign banks back to the country and turn it into national wealth.
He originally launched his fast along with his supporters at the Ramlila on June 4 but the police got him and his thousands of supporters vacated Saturday midnight by force making him leave Delhi.
He then tried to launch his fast at Noida but he was refused permission. Then he decided to continue the fast at his Patanjali Yoga Peetam at Haridwar.
