After the parade of MLAs, Chief Minister Yeddyurappa asked the President not to accept the recommendations of the Governor who he said was trying to topple his government.

The CM told journalists later that he proved to the president that he carried the support of 121 MLAs in the assembly.

Meanwhile, the BJP has intensified its onslaught against the Governor demanding the Centre to recall him. Thousands of BJP workers today held protest demonstrations against the Governor in Bangalore.
