To protect few relations, it is true that telling a lie is not a big crime. But, we should make sure that the lie we told is just to save our relationship but not to deceive them.

Example: Imagine that you forgot to meet your partner, though it is planned before.  In those situations lie them, saying that the traffic is heavy or with any other problem, but do not say the fact that you forgot. Because that hurts them literally as they feel that when you are loving them, how can you forget?
