Women to protest inequality with topless parade

Americans have shed their clothes previously for myriad causes and campaigns and this time it's no different save for the fact that it's only women who will drop their  tops this time.

Come 25th August, Sunday and you will see American women parade down the streets of America topless. Declared as Go Topless Day, the annual event is held every year, since 2007, to support gender-equality, where women are encouraged to walk topless as a protest against hypocritical laws that allow guys to walk around shirtless while women must remain clothed. Quite interestingly, this day falls closest to Women's Equality Day which is on August 26.

Men supporting this cause are asked to cover their man-boobs with pasties or bras.

This year marks the sixth anniversary of Go Topless Day, sponsored  and supported by a group of UFO believers called the Raelians. French auto-racing journalist Claude Vorilhon or Rael was the first to initiate this.

Members of the group believe that humans were created by advanced scientists known as the "Elohim," and that not allowing women to go topless is an insult to the aliens' artistry.

Forty cities, including Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco   Vancouver, and Washington D.C., will participate in the event.
