Getting Organized for the Holidays

The big time of rush every where like shops trains and buses due to holidays, you have manage the things and preplanning is must. Here there are some tips and points for holiday season.

  • Make a list of the tasks as they come to your mind, so you don't forget what needs to be finished.

  • When grocery shopping make a list of the exact items that you will be needing.

  • Set goals and limits as to how much time, and what activities or tasks can be fulfilled in a set amount of time. Tackle the priorities first.

  • Planning to have family in town, make travel arrangements a month or two in advance, obtaining the best rates.

  • Preparing for house guests, prepare each room in advance, cleaning, changing bed linens, cleaning closets for their items.

  • As you peruse the internet, or you are cruising store aisles, watch for gift giving ideas, then return later to purchase. This eliminates the frustration of running all over town trying to find the perfect gift.

  • Baking and cooking, check ingredients, spices and needed baking tools before you begin this task. Also, make sure spices are not outdated, they do lose their flavor.

  • Plan for a movie. There are a lot of holiday movies, plays and fun things to do at the holidays. Do an activity that is "warm and fluffy" and will make you feel good.

  • The holidays are a perfect time to do a walk-thru in your home and begin to purge, clean and organize all areas. Many new things come into the home at the holidays so you will need to create space to accommodate them.
