Actress Genelia lands in Rs 250 crore scam

As known to every one in the recent times actress Genelia who got married to Ritesh Deshmukh.Now the latest news is that Genelia has landed in big problem which relates to a scam of around Rs 250 crore.On Friday March 16 Hyderabad court has ordered the Saifabad police to register an FIR in opposite to Genelia and five others who are involved in this scam.

As the courts orders came subsequently from one of the victim named as Ch. Tirupataiah, he registered a complaint declaring that actress Genelia is the brand ambassador and also one of the directors of M/s Anjaniputra Infrastructure Private Limited.

Mr Tirupataiah alleged that the actor made false promises through ads and brochures and directly cooperated with the other accused in grabbing his and others’ hard-earned money. A total of 500 plots were sold by the firm.

The First Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate directed the cops to inquire into the issue and submit a report on or before March 27.

According to Y. Balaji, Tirupataiah’s counsel, one of the accused, Sudarshan Kumar Reddy, while introducing himself as one of the directors of the firm, urged Mr Tirupataiah to buy plots in a venture at Kalvakol village of Maheswaram mandal with a promise that he would get duplex houses constructed on the plots within stipulated period.

Mr Balaji said that Sudarshan Kumar made repeated requests to Mr Tirupataiah, who booked two plots in December 2008 in the name of his son and daughter-in-law. Jyothi, who stay in the US, by paying Rs 54 lakh.

He was told that an independent house and a duplex will be constructed on the plots, the counsel said. After some months, when Mr Tirupataiah tried to contact Mr Sudarshan, he could not get any response. He finally went to the firm’s office, and found it closed.

Later inquiries revealed that the land that he had paid money for, itself belonged to someone else and not Anjaniputra Infrastructure Pvt Ltd.

As Mr Tirupataiah thought that he was deceived so he immediatley moved towards State Consumer Forum which gave a direction in his regards.Mr Balaji who is an advisor for the victim Tirupataiah, he said that the accused didnt follow agreements with forum's orders, and as a substitute he warned to kill him.So Mr Tirupataiah who registered a complaint in the court.
