CBI collects tax details of Jagan from IT

The CBI officials have collected details of the properties of the YSR Congress president Mr YS Jaganmohan Reddy from the Income Tax officials as part of the probe into his illegal assets.

Senior IT officer Mr Jagadeeswar Babu met CBI officials on Wednesday and handed over the details of Jagan’s properties and his media houses. He also told them they have served notices on Jagan asking to pay an IT of Rs.235 Cr but Jagan filed a petition in the HC challenging the decision.

The representatives of Vanpic, Bharati Cement, ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank also met the CBI officials and submitted some documents relating to their transactions with Jagan.

Meanwhile, the CBI officials continued with their grilling of Srikant Joshi, former CEO of the Emaar Properties in the Emaar-APIIC land scam for the fourth consecutive day today. (J)
