6 killed in road accident in Kurnool district

Six persons, including three women, were killed and three others seriously injured in a road accident at Panyam in Kurnool district in the wee hours of Monday.
The accident occurred when a speeding Tata Sumo vehicle dashed against a Volvo bus coming in the opposition direction. The injured were admitted to the Government hospital at Nandyal.
The Tata Sumo vehicle was on its way from Yadagiri in Karnataka to the temple town of Tirupati in AP when the head-on collision took place. The condition of the injured three persons is stated to be critical, according to police.
