South Indian belle Alphonso, who did some popular dance numbers in all the four languages in the south, had also some character roles to her credit. The actor was in a live-in relationship with another small timer one Vinod Kumar and the both lived in Virugambakkam.

On Sunday, she returned from Dubai and reportedly had a quarrel with her lover. But the live-in companion hanged himself and died. She was shocked to see him hanging from the ceiling in the wee hours of today. Alphonsa lodged a complaint with the Virugambakkam Police who questioned her and sought details about the nature of the quarrel. A dejected Alphonsa, returned home from Police station and attempted suicide by consuming heavy dose of sleeping pills after police shifted Vinod's body to the Government Royapettah Hospital for post-mortem.

Vinod’s relations smell some foul play while Alphonso’s associates felt the shock was too much for the starlet. The actor is still in medical care and investigations will see light only after she wakes up. (With inputs from internet: AarKay)
