Sepp Blater to continue for four more years as FIFA President May 30, 2015 13:39

In spite of U.S. and Swiss Crime Investigations, Blatter was asked to continue for the next four years as FIFA President. He faced the challenge by his opponents Prince Ali and David Gill and stood victorious at FIFA’s annual congress, Zurich. In a secret ballot voting process, Blatter got 133 votes from 209 members. Mr. Ali was able to take the voting to the second round, but finally gave up.While addressing the crowd after announcement, the jubilant Blatter said “I thank you, you have accepted me for the next four years. I will be in command of this boat of Fifa. We will bring it back off shore.” More nautical references! We need in this committee women. We need ladies. We won’t touch the World Cup. I am a faithful man, God, Allah, whoever, they will help us to bring back this Fifa. At the end of my (four year) term, I will give Fifa to my successor. It will be robust.I like you. I like my job. I am not perfect. Nobody is perfect. Together we go. Let’s go Fifa! Let’s go Fifa! [chanting] “On the other hand, the defeated Ali leaves the stage after saying ‘I just wanted to thank all of you. It’s been a wonderful journey. I want to especially thank all of you who were brave enough to vote for me.’ Ali was hugged and embraced by a number of officials, including Michel Platini. - Manohar

Countering them, MP Kavitha said, “the yellow party Mahanadu is all about cinema settings and record dances, but nothing else. Basically, the TDP culture appears to be so.”TRS redefined development- Kavitha  “In Mahanadu, the TDP leaders boasted themselves a lot by saying that, they are the sole architects of Hyderabad development and also working for the welfare of the Telangana warriors. Kanyakumari has great spiritual significance for Hindus. It’s dedicated to the goddess Devi Kanya, an incarnation of Parvati. Pilgrims come here to visit the Kanyakumari temple and bath in the Triveni sangamam. The legend says that the Asuras got supremacy over the Devas, which led to Adharma, ignorance and injustice. Banasura, the king of demons, drove away Devas from heaven and meted out cruel punishments to saints. Due to the agony, Mother Earth sought the help of Lord Vishnu, the Protector of the Universe. The Lord advised that the Devas to pray to Parashakti, who alone is capable of destroying Banasura. Devas performed Yagna to please the Goddess, who appeared before them and promised to annihilate the evil forces. She came to Kanyakumari in the form of a Virgin girl and began her penance. Meanwhile, Lord (of nearby Suchindram temple) fell in love with her and arrangements were made for their marriage. The divine sage Narad realized that this marriage will destroy the chances of annihilating Banasura, because it was pre-ordinated by Brahma that the demon king could be killed only by a Virgin. Narad decided to stop this marriage. He met both Goddess, Kanya and Lord Shiva and asked them to be ready for the marriage, which has to take place at an auspicious hour at midnight. On the date of marriage Lord Shiva started from Suchindram to Kanyakumari, for the marriage at the auspicious time without missing it. As the Lord reached Vazukkamparai, five kilometers south of Suchindram, Narada assumed the form of a cock and crowed falsely, heralding the break of dawn. Thinking that the auspicious hour for this marriage was over, Lord returned to Suchindram. The Goddess decided to remain Virgin ever after. All the food items prepared for the divine wedding were turned into sand. Small pebbles, resembling rice and the multi-coloured sands are found abundantly on the shore, are believe to be attributed to the above incident.Bansura heard about the beauty of the Virgin Goddess and requested her hand in marriage. When the Goddess spurned the idea, the demon king decided to win her by force. A fierce battle ensued that the Goddess killed the demon with her Chakrayudha. This relieved Devas and they expressed their gratitude to the Goddess and returned blessed.Places to visitKanyakumari Temple: The legend of this temple is related to the above mythology. More heatwave cases in Hyderabad May 30, 2015 11:12

Niloufer Hospital in Hyderabad is day by day turning as the brunt of heat pyrexia (when fever crosses more than 101°F) cases, as most of the people are suggested to visit this particular hospital, if the complaints regarding dehydration, high fever, diarrhoea, headache and vomiting are high. Only on Friday, the hospital received a high number of 878 pediatric out patients (OP) and among them most of them are suffering from heat pyrexia combined with diarrhoea.   Sometimes, pediatric cases become complicated when contaminated drinking water leads to diarrhoea and vomiting while extreme temperature results in heat pyrexia at the same time. Pre medical care at homeMost of the doctors advise proper medical care at home before the patients are brought to the hospital. "It will help if parents can administer Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS) or paracetamol syrup for kids (in case they have a fever) before bringing them to hospital. This will help them to stabilize," said Dr M Venkateswarlu, duty doctor, Niloufer emergency ward. The root cause for the pyrexia cases is generally due to spending long hours under the sun. Dr. Aftab Ahmed, consultant physician, Apollo Hospitals, Secunderabad, suggests, "In case one has to travel with kids, try and travel at the coolest part of the day. Ensure children should wear light colored, loose clothes and hydrate them with water or at least fruit juice."    "In the event, a child is sick due to heat stress, immediately move to a cooler place, give fluids, use fan and wet towels to cool down and call for emergency help," he added. Government should take these initiativesAs the temperatures are getting worse day by day, it would be better if government arranges few awareness campaigns. Especially, the parents who are travelling with the kids should be taken extra care. In every bus stations, railway stations and many other places where the people are crowded to travel, the government should arrange fans, coolers and drinking water too at least till the temperatures come down completely. Now it’s turn for employees to protest on KCR! May 30, 2015 09:57

Along with the students, pension holders and a few others, now the employees are also going to join the list of people who are protesting against KCR.It is known that, Telangana Chief Minister KCR has announced a 43% hike in salary to the government employees. But till date, no such hike is implemented in the state. KCR announced, Naidu implementedOn the other side, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu, who announced the same 43% hike along with KCR, had already started implementing it to the AP employees. Regarding this, a discrimination has started among the dual state employees. So, the Telangana employees are now planning to protest against CM for the implementation of the announced hike.Reason behind employees supporting Telangana movement Frankly speaking, the expectations on the salary hikes, more employment opportunities, promotions are a few of the reasons behind the employees supporting the Telangana movement. But, it seems like, all such employees are unhappy with the TRS government, as they are in thought that, the government is not at all concerned about the employees of the state. There is not even a single thing which the KCR government was identified positive, according to the employees since the formation of the state.    In Andhra Pradesh, the employees are treated very well and are identified by their government. But in Telangana, which first announced the hike could not able to keep up its word. With this, employees are losing hope on KCR and are planning to protest soon. Meanwhile, all these oppositions are sounding a positive buzz on Chandrababu who is trying to make his identity felt in Telangana.  By Phani
