Spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar would hold the 'Mahasatsang' at the famous Miramar beach Goa, today at 6.30pm. He will be in Goa on a two-day tour on September 21 and 22. He will be present at a meditation programme. Over the two days, he will also conduct prayer meetings at Quepem and Panaji. During his visit to the state, he will also attend a meeting of India Against Corruption that backs activist Anna Hazare.
Leading member of Art of Living, Dr Venkatesh Hegde, told PTI that at least 15,000 people are expected to participate in the programme. He said that Miramar beach is one of the few favourite locations of Sri Sri to hold the event. He added that Beaches are like God. They are excellent places for prayer and meditation. Miramar beach is definitely the preferred choice of his holiness.
Ravi Shankar, a leading global breathing art practitioner, is best known for his set of breathing exercises known as 'Sudarshan Kriya'.
Otherwise known for beach parties and infamous for drug abuse and crimes against women, Goa is going to experience the heavenly serenity and know the ways to drive out stress and strain from the art of living expert. Last year's edition was held at the famous Colva beach in south Goa, around 40km from Panaji.
