We are very proud and excited to announce to our devotees that the temple management has made a decision to renovate the temple this year. In the first phase, we will be rebuilding the main worship hall, meditation hall, kitchen, restrooms and dining (Preeti Bhoj) hall. The worship hall will have individualized alters for the Deities. The estimated cost for this phase is $2.5 million US dollars (we will know the exact amount after the bidding is completed). We are confident about successful completion of this project with your support and prayers. Please continue to support your temple as you have been doing.

In the coming weeks, please look forward for continued status update emails on this project as we take the architecture drawings to City of Sunnyvale and open the bidding for contractors and form a Temple construction committee to oversee the project.

The proposed timeline is:

1. Status updates: Periodic e-mails

2. Architectural Drawings: By June 01, 2011

3. Approval by City: By July 01, 2011

4. Start of work: By August 15, 2011

5. Completion of Work: By June 01, 2012
